/warnings

General Questions
What is Ophraxx?
Ophraxx is a comprehensive Discord moderation bot that provides advanced security features, moderation tools, and utility commands. Built with security as a priority, every command includes rate limiting, cooldowns, and extensive validation to protect your server.
Is Ophraxx really free?
Yes! Ophraxx is 100% free with no premium tiers, paywalls, or hidden costs. All features are available to everyone, always. We believe in accessible, high-quality moderation tools for all Discord communities.
What makes Ophraxx different from other moderation bots?
Ophraxx combines enterprise-grade performance (99.99% uptime, sub-50ms response times) with complete accessibility - 100% free, no premium tiers. Plus, we offer 24/7 support with average response times under 10 minutes.
Can I use Ophraxx in multiple servers?
Absolutely! You can add Ophraxx to as many servers as you want. Each server's settings and data are completely separate and independent.
What data does Ophraxx collect?
Ophraxx collects minimal data necessary for bot functionality: Server information (server ID, name, member count), User information (user IDs, usernames for moderation purposes), Moderation actions (ban records, warnings, case IDs), and Configuration data (your server's custom bot settings). We explicitly do NOT collect full message content, private messages, voice chat data, payment information, email addresses, or IP addresses.
Setup & Configuration
How do I set up Ophraxx for the first time?
After inviting Ophraxx to your server:
- Go to Server Settings → Roles
- Drag the "Ophraxx" role to the very top of your role list (below your own role)
- Ensure the bot has Administrator permissions
- Start using commands by typing
/in any channel
No complex configuration is needed - the bot works out of the box with sensible defaults!
Why can't the bot moderate certain users?
Discord's role hierarchy prevents bots from moderating users with roles positioned higher than the bot's role. Make sure Ophraxx's role is at the very top of your role list (below only your own role). This is the most common issue when commands "don't work."
Can I customize Ophraxx's behavior?
Ophraxx is designed to work seamlessly with Discord's built-in permission system. You can control who uses which commands by managing Discord role permissions. The bot respects all server permission settings and works with your existing moderation structure.
What happens if I remove and re-add the bot?
Your server's data remains stored for 30 days after removal. If you re-add the bot within this period, your previous configurations and moderation logs will be restored. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted.
Features & Commands
What commands does Ophraxx have?
Ophraxx uses Discord's slash command system. Type / in any channel to see all available
commands. Key commands include:
- Moderation:
/ban,/kick,/mute,/warn,/timeout,/purge - Channel Management:
/lock,/unlock,/slowmode,/reset-channel - User Management:
/nick,/resetnick - Utilities:
/say,/pin,/unpin
Does Ophraxx support temporary bans and mutes?
Yes! Ophraxx supports temporary moderation actions. Use /tempban to automatically lift bans
after a specified duration and /timeout to temporarily restrict a user's ability to interact.
All temporary actions are automatically reversed when the time expires.
Does Ophraxx log moderation actions?
Yes, Ophraxx maintains comprehensive audit logs of all moderation actions including bans, kicks, mutes, warnings, and message deletions. These logs help you track moderation history and maintain accountability. Logs are retained for 1 year or until manual deletion.
Can I bulk delete messages?
Yes! Use the /purge command to delete multiple messages at once. You can specify the number of
messages to delete. This requires the "Manage Messages" permission.
How does the warning system work?
Use /warn to issue warnings to users who violate server rules. Each warning is logged with a
reason and timestamp. Use /warnings to view all warnings for a specific user. Warnings help
track user behavior over time and can inform future moderation decisions.
Common Issues
Bot isn't responding to commands
Try these solutions:
- Check if the bot is online (green status)
- Verify you're using slash commands (type
/and select from menu) - Ensure the bot has permissions in the channel
- Try the command in a different channel
- Check that Ophraxx's role is positioned at the top of your role list
- Re-invite the bot if problems persist
Why can't I see Ophraxx's commands?
Make sure you're using Discord's slash command system by typing / in any channel. If commands
still don't appear, verify that Ophraxx has permissions in that channel and that the bot is online (green
status). You may also need to re-invite the bot with proper permissions.
Why do some commands return permission errors?
This happens when either you or the bot lack the required Discord permissions. Verify:
- You have the necessary permission for that command
- Ophraxx has Administrator permissions
- Ophraxx's role is positioned above the target user's highest role
- The bot has access to the channel where you're using the command
Does Ophraxx work with other bots?
Yes! Ophraxx is designed to work alongside other Discord bots without conflicts. It uses Discord's standard API and doesn't interfere with other bot operations. You can use Ophraxx together with music bots, logging bots, or other moderation tools.
